Gallo is a writer and creator whose work has been seen Off-Broadway in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2017.
She and choreographer Jimmy Burgio were best known for their achievements in experimental forms of theater and their multi media/platform collaborations with artists, companies and institutions.
For their joint work in 2012 with global advertising agency Leo Burnett and the Village Voice newspaper on the first ever crowd-sourced Off-Broadway play, they received multiple awards from Cannes, Clios, One Show, London International, Addys, and many more.
Gallo's theater work has been workshopped and performed at Theater for the New City, The Stella Adler Studio for Acting, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, PS 122, The 47th Street Theater, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and most recently, the Signature Theater.
In 2017, Gallo was chosen to participate in the inaugural class of D5in10 academy at Droga5 - Ad Age’s and Ad Week’s Agency of the Decade. D5in10 seeks to cultivate non-traditional creative talent for advertising from artists and creators outside of the industry.
Since then, Gallo has pivoted full-time to screenwriting with her writing partner, Brittany Harris. In 2019, they were invited to join the Impact Creative Network, created by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer at Imagine Entertainment to cultivate screenwriting talent. They were also featured in Variety on the 2021 inaugural Wscripted Cannes Screenplay List - featuring 25 vetted, emerging female writers.
Recently, Gallo and Harris were announced as one of the Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2023 by the International Screenwriters Association.
Gallo continues to work in entertainment but hopes to one day come into a great fortune and die a reclusive socialite.
In the meantime, she writes.
